So, I have a dead laptop. Which is why I'm borrowing my sister's laptop. It doesn't have MSN though, which makes me incredibly sad. And no 4chan. No questionable websites. So, while I can't ramble to my peeps on MSN, which I love doing, I will be using this LJ probably a lot more often.

YO YO YO.
So these past couple of weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster. Partly because it was really exciting and upsetting, and partly because I'm a woman. This definately factors in. So here's a rather long entry about the awesome that is life. Made boring by me!
I did however, realize in my attempts to upgrade my laptop for the school that my laptop is actually an old model and I need to update that shit stat. But I'll miss this baby. He's been mine for like four years. ;^;

It's been an incredibly lazy new year so far, but at the very least the end of 2008 was a blast.
In December I had a voice demo made, which while it didn't get me the job I really gunning for, has gotten me a few other jobs already. So hooray! I've been marketing my headshot/resume/voice demo like crazy, sending to any directors/agencies wherever. It's surprisingly tiring, but also fun when one receives a phone call. :DSince I've only worked one day in the new year, haha, I've just been doing other things instead! Auditions playing video games, sewing... That sort of thing. I'm playing FFIV's DS version, which is fun. I re-beat FFVIII, which I swore I wouldn't cry on but dammit when I saw Laguna at the ending I couldn't help it. That man should not be just pixels.
Now I'm playing Tales of Vesperia, and boy does the Tales series seem to get gayer with every new installment or is it just me? I like Yuri quite a bit, and even though I don't really like Flynn so much, they have some bond there. Not quite Emil/Richter, but it's there. Anyway, after that game it's Eternal Sonata for the PS3! Whoo!
I'd say I'm about 40% with my Jinana cosplay. I'm redoing the jacket since I've learned a thing or two about sewing since then, and I haven't dine the legs yet. The body is about 85% done. All I really need to do is sew my bra on and add the parts with the gold thingies on them. Which I don't really know what they are but I'll figure it out. I kind of want to use something more metallic and lest craft-foamy for them.
Ah, I also found the first four seasons of Futurama while shopping with my nephew for $50. I totally bought them, and even if my nephew can't understand anything it's syaing considering he's a month old, he seemed pretty engaged. Ahahaha.
I guess to end this...? I don't know. I wish I knew how to make a prettier LJ. D: That's about it. Let's hope for more work!

Last week I was fortunate enough to find a gran oppurtunity for work. Since then I've been looking up 30-second commericlas and monologues, anything I can that would sound appropriate for a voice demo. I've got a bit of a spread, but anything else would be more than helpful! I really have no idea what goes on a demo, but I'm grateful that I've met someone who does.
Right now at this very moment is my younger sister's Baby Shower. She's due in about two weeks, and nothing is stopping her! Can you believe she still works six days a week and still goes to school? With A's? The woman is incredible- she has the strength of an ox, and she's as cute as a bunny. I'm still finding it difficult, even after all these months (which is why after a while I went right up to my room! Too much for me.) but I still want to wish her all the best. She's going to be a great mother.
I have quite a few things to do next week, and hopefully I'll be able to accomplish them. I work four days next week, the first time in a long time I've worked so many days in a week! Hooray! I also have to get a few court papers together, finalize the pieces chosen for my voice demo, get together my headshots and print out a new resume. I guess I need to call and check in one the application for the Gaylord Hotel too.
Oh, man. It feels exciting, but it's also scary. I feel like it won't work out in the end. I did sign up for classes next semester, but this time I'm the one paying for them. I don't want to go, and I won't have the money to pay. It's a little over a grand for these classes, plus the 700 I owe now... it's depressing to think about what will more than likely happen. I'd rather think about finally moving away and starting fresh.

Whew!
Today I finally finished my training as a Check In Judge for the General Elections. It was so boring, but now it's done and over with. I'm hoping I'll be working at the same precint where I'm supposed to vote, so I don't have to file for an absentee ballot. Those get counted a couple days after Election day, so I'd rather just vote on the day of the election.( BAKUMAN )( BAKUMAN )( Goofing off )( Goofing off )Someone tell me an exciting anime to watch. Skip Beat starts on the 5th, but I need something to watch in between then. I finished the first season of Pokemon, and I don't want to buy the next season cause I remember it sucked, haha. Something in english, preferably, so I can do other stuff while I watch! (I want to knows when the Axis Powers Anime starts!)
Well, for now I'll rewatch Last Exile. <3 DIOOOOOOOO.
EDIT: WTF I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE NICE LOOKING ENTRIES. BEAR WITH IT.

Anyway, in walks my best friend's fiance with his work buddies, so we all sit and chat and have a good ol' time. Pfft, he's so ridiculously whipped that it's adorable. They're getting married next year, and it's fantastic. ANYWAY, so he was like DUDE COME OVER OUR HOUSE TODAY.
Me, I'm one of those who procrastinates. And at first I was thinking, "Well, I won't get off till like 2am..." but then I was like WELL IT'LL BE AN ADVENTURE and I said YEAH. So after work I drove an hour and a half at 80mph down the road to a house I'd never before, finally arriving around 3:30 in the morning. AND WE ATE CHOCOLATE PANCAKES AND WATCHED THE FIRST SEASON OF POKEMON AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EACH IN SSBROS. BRAWL. SO FUN. <3
Well, I realized I was a good ways from home and in the morning was like, I don't wanna go home yet. So what did I do? CALLED UP MY DAD, THAT'S WHAT. And so I drove another hour down roads I'd never been before to finally reach my dad's house, where I'm currently at. Man, lots of driving and no plan is fun.
AND EVEN BETTER, I'M APPARENTLY OFF ALL WEEK FOR NO REASON. Still trying to pick up shifts, but MAN THIS COULD BE LIKE AN ADVENTURE.
WHOO. FUN! I'm in such a great mood right now.

SO.
I finally got one of these. And I'm confused. How does this thing work? What's an S1, S2? How do I add pretty layouts? IT'S TOO DAMN CONFUSING. I want either a Pokemon one, an Eyeshield 21 one or a Katamari Damacy one, cause they're awesome! I'll keep trying. If I can figure out myspace, I can figure out this thing!
I'm also excited to go see High School Musical tommorrow! As a Musical! I've never seen the movie before, but a friend of mine wanted to take me and his kids. So, yay! I'm gonna go see it! I guess.
What are some good plays out there anyway? I've only ever seen The Glass Menagerie (Which is by Tennessee Williams, THE GOD OF PLAYS) and West Side Story. And some other musical when I was a kid. All I remember was the guy had a heart attack on stage. Eep.So... what else? I guess I'll put a picture here that I drew a long time ago because I can. AND ALSO GO LISTEN TO LOUIS CK CAUSE HE'S FUNNY. :O
